A new Student Union is starting up at Tarrant County College in Texas. Mr. Richard Railey bravely stood up at a Student Government Association meeting March 29 and talked about having a White Student Union.
The purpose? So white students can participate in their culture and heritage and have a sense of belonging, just like the many other ethnic and cultural clubs at the college. Although the White Student Union currently does not have a faculty sponsor or any official members he says, “I do not have any official members because we are not an official group,” he said. “We are an unofficial confederacy of like minds.”
